Taylor And Benton’s Printer’s Alley, Nashville, Engagement Session

Printer’s Alley Nashville, Engagement Session

As a wedding photographer based out of Nashville, TN, and surrounding areas, I meet a lot of couples, and most of the time we click right away,! This couple was no exception, we clicked the second I contacted them to discuss ! Taylor also told me that she is an aspiring photographer, well she certainly was a natural in front of the camera! We had so much fun capturing their love, romance, and authentic relationship during their session at Printer’s Alley, Nashville, Tn. Here is a brief glimpse into their story.

Printer’s Alley Nashville, Engagement Session

How they met:

Benton and Taylor met through a mutual friend in 2017 at the Scoreboard bar and grill ( located across from the Opryland hotel ). This was their hang out for after work cocktails, and relaxing fun after a long day of work.  Taylor worked with Benton’s best friend at Gaylord Opryland , and Taylor had the biggest crush on Benton from the moment she met him but not knowing how he felt, she never told him. A couple months later, Taylor’s co worker ( Benton’s best friend)  mentioned that they were all going to a Nashville Predators game for a work event and just as Taylor was hoping, Benton  tagged along with his friend to the game.  They got to talk a little bit more during the game and night that followed, and they just immediately clicked! Again, Taylor found herself crushing on him but still didn’t say anything.   A few months later Taylor moved back to Kentucky  and figured she would never see her crush Benton again.  A year after she moved back to Kentucky, Benton ” friended her  on Facebook , they began chatting in which Taylor finally admitted she had had a crush on him for over a year, at this time Benton admitted he had a crush on her as well ! Benton went to Kentucky to visit Taylor, and from the moment he arrived, they both said it felt like they had been dating for years, they both fell head over heels in love with one another so much that a few months later,  Taylor packed her things up and moved back to Tennessee to be with him.

The Proposal :

As silly as this may sound, this is the way it happened 🙂

Taylor was cleaning the house listening to some music and getting into the groove , meanwhile Benton was out ” running an errand” .  When Benton returned home to their apartment he yelled ” Come Here ”  for Taylor to join him in the kitchen. When Taylor walked into the kitchen, Benton was down on one knee! To say Taylor was shocked is an under statement ! Lots of tears and hugs and laughs later  she said yes 🙂

Their Engagement Session :

After chatting over zoom with the two of them, we all decided that a romantic night time session would truly compliment their love story. Printer’s Alley downtown Nashville in the evening, is just, excuse my use of this phrase but ” Picture perfect”! Twinkling lights, bright signs lit up, and the history that is represented is amazing. We met in front of  Alley Taps ( a very cool bar) and  started down one alley, exploring all the unique back drops that the area held, capturing moment between Taylor and Benton,  and then headed down the next , where even more opportunities unfolded. I also have to add a BIG Thank You to my husband my #1 lighting assistant without him lighting these images with the flash, these photos would not exist. Did I mention that Taylor looked amazing in her little black dress?? The style !!

Thank you Taylor and Benton for twirling, dipping, running, and laughing during our session and I cant wait to work with Ya’ll again !
